It makes me wanna buy the upcoming fig tart mix blush compact, although the berry tiramisu looks cute too :P

Corsets are a funny thing - pretty much worn only once or twice in a lifetime these days.

Went for another fitting today; I think I need to lose about 500g in order for the dress to fit better.  Otherwise they'll let it out a bit.

Starting tomorrow, I'm going to try a rice porridge/Japanese konyaku diet.  And start walking, etc.

In beauty news, I'm trying out a Tony Moly Floria Nutra-Energy Mask Sheet - I quite like it; a light clean scent, moisturizing but not overly sticky.  We'll see how my skin likes it, but so far so good.  It's been a while since I pampered my skin with a face mask.  Far too long.

eczema outbreak

While in California, the wind and dry air contributed to an outbreak of eczema on my cheeks - dry, red, irritated hard patches.  I tried a few things but half a week of Vaseline (using it to remove sunblock, etc.) helped my skin back to normal.


Make sure to moisturize and protect your skin carefully!  I'd gotten used to the higher humidity in Japan and didn't take my regular skin lotions with me to California.

I ordered 7 shoes from zappos.com, but these shoes at David's Bridal fit the best.

pearl earrings

I ordered these clip-on pearl earrings in ivory from Etsy.  They're lovely!  Delicate, simple, and pretty.  Oh, and comfortable on the ears.  Etsy is great - I ordered 2 other sets of earrings from other sellers, all for a total of $30.  All 3 sellers were very prompt about delivery.  It's a great way to find unique things at a reasonable price.
