pics: Overdrive cafe, Bloodstone

From Overdrive Cafe in Shimokitazawa,
Japanese-style tarako (small fish eggs) pasta, to which I am addicted

Their excellent lasagna

From a traditional little izakaya hidden in Ginza,
Fried sea-eel dinner set

An innocuous-looking pub called
Blood Stone

Ew. Tarako. I just don't like fish eggs. Lasagna on the other hand...

Hi! It's good to hear from you.

Heh, I woke up one day addicted to Tarako and mentaiko spaghetti :D

Lasagna is total comfort food! Need to learn to make it in a microwave.

Is taroko like mentaiko spaghetti? I love that stuff; I'll get cravings for it sometimes. Rich tasting and satisfying without being really heavy (sometimes after eating lasagna you can just feel your arteries clogging up).

Yup, tarako is like mentaiko - I'm unclear on the difference, but I think tarako isn't spicy.

Rich but healthy food :)
